"..Resident's Bill of
Rights:
To exercise the rights of a citizen and to raise
concerns or recommend changes in policies and,
services on behalf of himself or herself or others
to the residents' council, facility staff,
government officials or any other person inside, or
outside the home without fear of restraint,
interference, coercion, discrimination or reprisal." |
All Residents of Parkwood Mennonite Home
are encouraged and invited to attend the Residents' Council
Meetings. The Residents' Council is an opportunity for all
Residents to provide input and feedback, raise concerns and
share opinions about decisions and practices that affect
their lives at Parkwood Mennonite Home. The Council allows
for open communication between the Residents, Staff and
Administration. It is a safe environment for all Residents.
If needed, families are approached to help
with the positions of President and Treasurer. We ask that
families do not otherwise participate in the Residents’
Council as this is a forum for the Residents. (There is a
Family Council at Parkwood Mennonite Home that all family
members are encouraged to attend.)
Residents’ Council meetings are held on a
regular basis. Please contact the Program Director for dates
and times of meetings. |
